Job summary

Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water is recruiting for an Estates and Land Rights professional to support the Lands and Habitat teams across the Welsh Water estate. You will manage access, negotiate land rights, and support capital schemes while liaising with landowners, agents and internal teams to deliver long-term agreements.

The role requires experience in utility land matters, strong communication, MS Office skills, and a willingness to travel; MRICS/CAAV desirable but not essential if experienced.

Qualifications

• Experience liaising with landowners in utility infrastructure
• Knowledge of property management systems, GIS and SAP
• Customer-focused with strong communication skills
• Strong IT skills: Word, Outlook, Excel
• Ability to work independently with colleagues
• Professional qualification MRICS or CAAV (desirable)

Responsibilities

• Manage access arrangements, negotiations and Statutory Notices
• Undertake compensation negotiations for land rights
• Support delivery of capital schemes with regular progress updates
• Build relationships with landowners, agents and tenants
• Assist in securing wayleaves and resolving land-related constraints
• Ensure land rights and compulsory powers are applied correctly
• Advise on land valuations, compensation and rent reviews
• Oversee title investigations and third-party land interests
• Support estate portfolio management with internal teams
• Represent Welsh Water professionally to stakeholders
• Respond to customer inquiries promptly
• Contribute to continuous improvement of the Estates Team
