Job description

TML Recruitment is partnered with a leading, UK-wide property practice in their search for a Property/Estates Manager at Associate level to work in their Birmingham-based Asset Management team.

We offer an exciting opportunity for an experienced Chartered Surveyor to lead a diverse portfolio, delivering estate management and professional consultancy services across a nationally significant portfolio. This role is suitable for either a fully qualified estate manager or someone eager to expand their skills in asset management. The role oversees a team of three and is based in Birmingham, with flexible and hybrid working arrangements.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?
  • Lead and manage a team of surveyors, overseeing rural property portfolios.
  • Deliver expert consultancy on rural and land management matters.
  • Ensure efficient service delivery tailored to client needs.
  • Conduct Red Book Valuations and Market Appraisals.
  • Provide strategic guidance on property disposals.
  • Inspire and motivate team members, promoting collaboration and accountability.
  • Develop strong relationships with clients, fostering trust and cooperation.
  • Define objectives, roles, and responsibilities; ensure team alignment.
  • Set expectations, deadlines, and goals; provide ongoing feedback and address challenges.
  • Recognize performance, offer constructive feedback, and support professional growth.
  • Assist in recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance monitoring.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Support team members in managing portfolios effectively to meet targets, SLAs, and KPIs.
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO BE SELECTED?
  • MRICS, AssocRICS, or MARLA qualifications preferred.
  • Extensive experience in land management.
  • Previous team management experience with strong leadership skills.
  • Experience working with clients, stakeholders, and contractors in a fast-paced, professional environment.
  • Organized with good time management skills.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • A full driving license is essential.
