Job summary

East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking an Estates Maintenance Assistant - Higher Level (Semi Skilled) at Burnley General Hospital. You will join the Estates maintenance team to perform semi-skilled electrical and mechanical tasks across hospital facilities.

The role requires prior facilities/building maintenance experience, a full driving licence, and the ability to work with limited supervision. Training will be provided to develop craft skills and grow within NHS maintenance services.

Qualifications

• Willingness to participate in NHS maintenance training.

Responsibilities

• Carry out semi-skilled maintenance duties for electrical and mechanical building services.
• Assist in maintenance across plant rooms and clinical areas.
• Complete planned preventive maintenance and document defects.
• Work with minimal supervision and support multi-trade craft workers.
