Job summary

Morrisons invites a proactive Real Estate student to join the Estates Management Team for a 12-month placement at Head Office in Bradford. You will work hands-on with the Head of Estates on asset management, lease negotiations, and budget oversight, contributing to the operation of our extensive UK estate.

As part of a 89-person Property division, you’ll develop practical experience across commercial property processes while building relationships with stakeholders at all levels.

Qualifications

• Currently studying a Real Estate or closely related degree discipline.
• Strong logical thinker with intermediate proficiency in Excel.
• A natural team player with the confidence to build relationships and influence stakeholders across all business levels.
• Experience in data management is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Asset Management: protect and enhance value of 800+ commercial properties.
• Commercial Negotiation: lease renewals and rent reviews.
• Financial Oversight: manage income and costs including service charge budgeting.
• Operational Command: oversee day-to-day property functions and key project work.

Join the Morrisons Estates Management Team for a dynamic 12-month industrial placement where you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing one of the largest corporate estates in the UK.

Based at our Head Office (Hilmore House, Bradford), you'll be part of a high-performing 89-person Property division, directly influencing the operational excellence that supports thousands of colleagues and millions of customers daily.

The Impact You'll Have

This isn't a shadow role, it's hands-on property management from day one. Working closely with the Head of Estates and Senior Estates Manager, your responsibilities will include:

• Strategic Asset Management: Dive into initiatives and projects that protect and enhance the value of our 800+ commercial properties (including supermarkets, distribution centres, and manufacturing sites).
• Commercial Negotiation: Get practical experience with significant commercial processes like lease renewals and rent reviews.
• Financial Oversight: Partner with our Property Finance team to manage, track, and optimize millions in income and operational costs, including service charge budgeting and reconciliation.
• Operational Command: Oversee day-to-day property functions, ensuring the integrity of our critical lease event database and driving key ad-hoc property projects.
