Job summary

Education Partnership North East is seeking a practical Estates and Facilities Operative to support day-to-day campus operations across multiple sites. You will help maintain safe, clean, and welcoming environments for learners, staff and visitors, with a hands-on approach to upkeep and basic repairs.

The role involves campus opening and closing, room setup, waste management, and supervising contractors, with a shift pattern spanning early mornings to evenings.

Qualifications

• Valid UK driving licence and ability to travel between sites on a shift system 06:00–23:00.
• Experience with basic maintenance tasks.
• Ability to use hand tools and work at height.
• First aid at work certification.

Responsibilities

• Opening and securing college campuses
• Carrying out basic repairs
• Completion of planned preventative maintenance schedules
• Setting up furniture as and when required
• Removal of litter and waste daily
• Supervision of contractors and visitors
