Job summary

Aneurin Bevan University Health Board (ABUHB) is seeking an Estates Officer to join the Estates and Facilities Division at Nevill Hall Hospital, Abergavenny. You will manage DEL staff and overset budgets, ensuring safe, compliant maintenance and efficient service delivery for patients and staff.

You will work with the Works Manager and Head of Estates to monitor hard FM contracts, lead a responsive maintenance team, and uphold governance while developing staff through PADRs and training.

Qualifications

• Degree-level knowledge or equivalent in building services
• Completed recognised apprenticeship
• Postgraduate qualification in building services
• Knowledge of REVIT and BIM software
• Knowledge of all Microsoft applications
• Membership of professional body

Responsibilities

• Understand the national NHS perspective and future strategy to align staff with service improvements.
• Lead, manage and motivate a large maintenance team and specialist contractors to meet works within time and budget.
• Ensure robust systems and processes with governance, standardised where possible.
• Ensure staff have annual PADRs with objectives and development plans.
• Lead training and development of identified staff.
• Prepare maintenance and plant replacement schedules and technical reports.
