About the role:

We are currently seeking an Estates & Facilities Assistant to join The Bedford College Group at Corby Sixth Form.

Post holders will provide a full range of services to ensure the facilities’ environment supports the aims and visions of the Bedford College Group, including security, portering, maintenance, ground maintenance, health and safety testing, driving, and cleaning.

Ideal candidates will have:

  • Willingness to undertake relevant training.
  • Basic health and safety knowledge.
  • Experience working with the public and young people.
  • Ability to handle situations involving diverse age groups.
  • Knowledge of working within procedures and guidelines.
  • Ability to work independently and support team members.
  • Calmness in defusing difficult situations.
  • Ability to follow instructions.
  • Reliability and punctuality.
  • Valid full driving license and access to a vehicle.
  • Availability to work at all College sites and provide weekend cover as needed.
  • Availability for short-notice contact by telephone.
