Job summary

Nottingham Trent University (NTU) is seeking an in-house Estates Electrician to join the Estates team, ensuring safe, compliant and efficient operation of the university estate, with duties ranging from routine maintenance to supporting major events such as open days and graduation ceremonies.

You will undertake fault finding on LV and ELV systems, install electrical circuits, assist minor works, testing and statutory inspections, and help deliver a sustainable, net-zero agenda across the

Responsibilities

• Fault finding, routine maintenance and repairs on Low and Extra Low Voltage systems in university buildings.
• Electrical installation work to new and existing circuits.
• Supporting the delivery of minor works projects.
• Undertaking electrical testing.
• Undertaking statutory inspections on electrical, fire, emergency lighting and control systems.
• Supporting the set up and delivery of key university events such as open days, graduation and clearing.
