Job summary

The Environment Agency is seeking a Data & Information Officer to join the dispersed Estates Data and Information team. You’ll provide data management and GIS support to around 100 professional estates surveyors nationwide, ensuring accurate landholdings and property records.

You will work with GIS systems, maintain records, support HM Land Registry registration, and engage with internal teams and the public. Some national travel and incident response duties may apply.

Qualifications

• Proficient in GIS systems including ArcMap, Esri Web App and ArcGIS Online.
• Experience maintaining computerised records and data management systems.
• Skilled in working with stakeholders and responding to enquiries, delivering high standards of customer service.
• Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, enabling effective engagement with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
• Highly organised, self-motivated and able to prioritise competing demands to meet deadlines.
• Committed to continuous improvement in property records management and data system use.

Responsibilities

• Provide data management and GIS support nationally to approximately 100 professional estates surveyors.
• Ensure timely updates, maintain and reconcile landholding and property databases/records systems.
• Support registration with HM Land Registry by sourcing and contributing information.
• Engage with national customer teams and respond to enquiries from internal teams and the public.
• Participate in incident response and business continuity support as required.
