Job summary

British Transport Police is seeking an Estates Assurance Manager to lead the assurance and compliance function within the Estates team at Force Headquarters, London. You will oversee financial management, contracts, and service delivery to meet statutory and contractual obligations.

You will manage a small team, collaborate with stakeholders and suppliers, and deliver data-driven insights to drive continuous improvement across the estate, including rent, rates, and facilities management for

Qualifications

• A degree or equivalent experience in estates, facilities management, compliance, or a related field.
• Proven background in estates or facilities assurance, compliance, or contract management.
• Experience managing staff and leading assurance or audit functions.

Responsibilities

• Provide assurance on supplier performance through KPI analysis, financial compliance checks, and service delivery monitoring.
• Oversee Estates financial operations, managing a small team to ensure robust governance, accurate forecasting, and timely invoice processing.
• Deliver operational oversight of key contracts, including Total Facilities Management (TFM) and forcewide services, ensuring compliance and value for money.
• Coordinate governance and reporting activities, preparing documentation for senior management and regulatory bodies, and maintaining accurate property data.
• Conduct assurance visits and produce actionable reports, influencing Estates operations and projects through data-driven insights and strategic recommendations.
