Reporting directly to the Deputy Director of Estates and Facilities, the post holder will lead and oversee health and safety matters across Estates and Facilities, while supporting Trust managers, committees and staff as required. The role will involve applying relevant legislation and best practice, identifying health and safety hazards and risks, and developing practical solutions.

The Trust is a growing provider of mental health and learning disability services. Our Estates and Facilities team plays a key role in maintaining a safe, clean, secure and effective estate, operating from 30 owned buildings and managing over 46 leased properties.

The team includes 24 Estates staff, 112 Facilities staff, six Corporate Reception staff, a Sustainability and Energy Manager and this Health and Safety Manager post.

You will become an important part of the team, working to ensure that all aspects of work are patient-focused. You will provide support to staff members, which could include dealing with staff grievances and disciplinary issues.
