Job summary

Southern Housing seeks an experienced Estate Services Manager to lead frontline estate services across a defined geographic area. You will manage teams delivering grounds maintenance, cleaning, waste management and contractor services with a strong emphasis on resident satisfaction and health & safety compliance.

You will oversee day-to-day service delivery, conduct regular estate inspections, and collaborate with Housing and Neighbourhood teams to resolve issues.

Qualifications

• Experience in Estate Services/frontline operations with health & safety emphasis.
• Proven people management and leadership, including recruitment and performance handling.
• Proactive, solutions-focused approach with strong problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of value for money, service charges, and efficient resource use.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with residents and contractors.
• Attention to detail for estate inspections and issue identification.
• Customer-centred mindset with emphasis on resident experience and visibility.

Responsibilities

• Lead frontline estate services across a defined geographical area.
• Oversee day-to-day service delivery and estate inspections to ensure standards.
• Collaborate with contractors and Housing teams to resolve issues and improve resident satisfaction.
• Ensure health & safety compliance and effective use of resources.
• Occasionally work from different locations and attend meetings outside core hours.
