Job summary

Essential Employment is seeking an Estate Services Cleaner to join our team in Horsham. You will clean communal areas within residential blocks, including hallways, stairwells, lifts, entrances and bin stores, using standard cleaning procedures.

In this full-time temporary role, you will sweep, mop, dust, vacuum and wash designated areas, report hazards, maintain cleaning records and provide a courteous, professional service to residents and visitors while following COSHH regulations and wearing

• COSHH awareness and safe handling of cleaning chemicals.

Responsibilities

• Clean communal areas within residential blocks (hallways, stairwells, lifts, entrances and bin stores).
• Sweep, mop, dust, vacuum and wash designated areas as required.
• Remove litter, graffiti and fly-tipping from estates and surrounding grounds.
• Empty and clean communal waste and recycling areas.
• Carry out litter picking and maintain external areas, pathways and car parks.
• Report repairs, health and safety hazards and other estate-related issues.
• Use cleaning equipment safely in accordance with COSHH regulations.
• Assist with seasonal duties such as leaf clearance, snow clearance and gritting.
• Ensure cleaning records and work schedules are completed accurately.
• Provide a courteous and professional service to residents and visitors.
• Follow health and safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE.
