Job summary

Forestry England is recruiting an Assistant Area Land Agent to support the Central District Estates Team in managing a diverse portfolio across woodlands, farms, recreation sites and development opportunities. The role blends office work with flexible home working, and involves travel across the Central District to handle landlord and tenant matters, valuations and project support.

Qualifications

MRICS or AssocRICS or progress toward APC with relevant experience as a property professional.
Registered Valuer status or working towards registration is desirable.
Experience negotiating leases, rent reviews and license/tenancy arrangements.

Responsibilities

Manage landlord and tenant relationships across a mixed-use estate.
Negotiate new leases, lettings, rent reviews and lease renewals.
Support recreation and commercial teams with tenancy management and new opportunities.
Handle access rights, boundary matters, encroachments and third-party liability issues.
Manage wayleave agreements and liaise with utility companies and developers.
Provide professional advice on property matters to colleagues and stakeholders.
Support major development and investment projects.
Undertake or assist with RICS Red Book valuations.
Contribute to property strategy and long-term asset management planning.
