Job summary

Orbit Group is recruiting for a Full Time Estate Services Operative to maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety in communal areas across Coventry. The role covers lifts, stairs, floors and windows, with duties including litter removal and reporting maintenance needs.

Ideal candidates will have a UK driving licence, basic numeracy and literacy, and the ability to operate relevant machinery; physical fitness and multi-season availability are essential. DBS checks may apply.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current full UK driving licence and be willing to drive the association’s vehicles.
• Basic level of numeracy/ literacy being required.
• Must have the capability to operate machinery/tipper vans and equipment such as petrol blowers, floor cleaning apparatus.
• Must have the ability and willingness to work internally and externally during all seasons.
• Must be able to fulfil the physical requirements of a manual post.

Responsibilities

• Provide a high standard cleaning service to communal areas in blocks including lifts, stairwells, floors, walls and windows.
• Carry out litter picking and bulk rubbish/fly tipping removal to maintain estates.
• Ensure PPE and machinery are used safely and report faults or incidents.
• Store hazardous and inflammable liquids in accordance with COSHH and fire regs.
• Carry out estates duties such as snow clearance, gritting, bin works and graffiti removal.
