Job summary

ESS Employment Ltd are recruiting for a Forklift Operative in Stonehouse on a 3-month contract. You will operate a Counterbalance forklift safely, move goods, and support the packing/warehouse team.

Role requires a valid Counterbalance licence and previous forklift experience in warehouse, manufacturing, or distribution environments. You must have reliable transport to attend the NR Stonehouse site and be available for 12:00–12:00 shifts on a 4-on/4-off pattern.

Qualifications

• Valid Counterbalance forklift licence/certification.
• Experience operating a Counterbalance forklift in warehouse, manufacturing or distribution.
• Good understanding of warehouse health and safety procedures.
• Reliable and punctual with good communication.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Counterbalance Forklift Truck safely and efficiently.
• Support packing by supplying materials and moving orders to storage/dispatch areas.
• Assist the Packer with general warehouse duties when required.
• Conduct daily forklift safety checks and report defects or maintenance needs.
• Ensure stock is stored correctly and warehouse areas stay clean and organized.
• Accurately complete relevant paperwork and stock movement records.
• Follow all company health and safety policies and procedures.

Ess Employment Ltd have a unique opportunity for a highly motivated person to join our client on a 3-month contract. The successful candidate will work closely alongside a Packer, ensuring goods are safely moved and stored. While maintaining high standards of accuracy and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a Counterbalance Forklift Truck safely and efficiently.
• Support the packing operation by supplying materials and moving completed orders to designated storage or dispatch areas.
• Assist the Packer with general warehouse duties when required.
• Conduct daily forklift safety checks and report any defects or maintenance issues.
• Ensure stock is stored correctly and warehouse areas are kept clean and organised.
• Accurately complete relevant paperwork and stock movement records.
• Follow all company health and safety policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Valid Counterbalance Forklift Truck licence/certification.
• Previous experience operating a Counterbalance Forklift in a warehouse, manufacturing, or distribution environment.
• Good understanding of warehouse health and safety procedures.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Good communication skills and attention to detail.
• Reliable and punctual.
