Job summary

Activate Learning in Reading is seeking an E-Sports Vocational Trainer to deliver hands-on Esports sessions, support student projects, and maintain esports hardware and streaming setups.

The role is fixed-term and part-time (23 hours per week during term time) with a contract running until July 2027, based at Reading College. Applicants should have relevant industry experience or a Level 3 qualification in Esports or related fields.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification or above, or equivalent industry experience, within Esports, gaming, digital technology or a related field.
• Experience working with gaming PCs, consoles and digital technologies is essential, with ability to troubleshoot hardware and software.

Responsibilities

• Delivering learner-facing practical sessions and workshops.
• Supporting students with technical skills development and project-based learning.
• Demonstrating the safe use of Esports equipment, software and technologies.
• Maintaining and troubleshooting gaming PCs, consoles and associated equipment.
• Supporting Esports competitions, tournaments and live-streamed events.
• Promoting a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment.
