Job description

Job Title: ESOL Teacher

Location: ST1 5ED

Pay Rate: £200 per day

An experienced ESOL Teacher is required for a long-term position at a primary school in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire. The successful candidate will deliver engaging lessons to help students develop their English language proficiency and integrate effectively within the school environment.

Responsibilities:

1. Plan and deliver comprehensive ESOL lessons tailored to the needs of primary-aged students.
2. Support students in developing their reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills.
3. Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to students and parents.
4. Collaborate with other teaching staff to ensure the effective delivery of the curriculum.
5. Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development opportunities.

Requirements:

1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
2. Experience teaching ESOL or EAL in a primary school setting.
3. Strong subject knowledge and the ability to differentiate for students of varying language abilities.
4. Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
5. Commitment to the development of students’ academic and social skills.
