Job summary

Westminster City Council, via Westminster Adult Education Service (WAES), seeks an ESOL Community Tutor to deliver engaging ESOL courses across WAES sites and community settings. You will plan, deliver and assess sessions aligned with qualification specs, while tracking learners’ progress and ensuring strong attendance and achievement.

Applicants should have Level 3 teaching qualifications, an assessor award in progress, and the ability to work evenings and Saturdays as part of flexible

Qualifications

• Well developed experience of teaching in a post-16, further education or adult education setting.
• Willingness to work towards an assessor award (A1/TAQA) and maintain up-to-date practice.
• Experience with online tuition and using Virtual Learning Environments.

Responsibilities

• Teach ESOL to learners across WAES sites and community settings.
• Plan and deliver imaginative and creative teaching and learning experiences.
• Monitor attendance, track progress and maintain accurate course records.
