Job summary

East Riding of Yorkshire Council's Adult Learning and Employability team is seeking ESOL tutors to deliver across Beverley, Bridlington and Cottingham, with teaching from pre-entry to improvers, including accredited ESOL. The role may include evening and daytime classes, requiring flexibility to cover both.

We welcome applicants who hold a Level 4 teaching qualification (or above) and a recognised ESOL qualification, with safeguarding and digital skills to support learner progress and effective

Qualifications

• Experience teaching ESOL across various levels (pre-entry to improvers).
• Hold a Level 4 teaching qualification (or above) and a recognised ESOL qualification.
• Knowledge of safeguarding, equality and diversity, Prevent and fundamental British values.
• Good administrative skills to ensure accurate paperwork for assessment, learning and progress.
• Good digital skills for online learning tools and records.

Responsibilities

• Deliver ESOL across Adult Learning centres Beverley, Bridlington and Cottingham.
• Teach courses from pre-entry to improvers and accredited ESOL; flexible day/evening classes.
• Drive learner progress through assessment and recording of achievement.
• Provide high-quality learning opportunities and support for learners.
• Contribute to safeguarding and inclusive practice within classes.
