Job summary

Leicester Adult Education is seeking an ESOL tutor to plan and deliver both face-to-face and online ESOL courses for adult learners. You will use engaging resources and teaching methods to promote achievement, monitor learning and support learners across the city. You’ll need a recognised initial teaching qualification at Level 3 or above and English GCSE A*-C.

DBS clearance is required. You’ll be based at the Adult Education College but travel to settings across the city and use Google

Qualifications

• A recognised initial teaching qualification at Level 3 or above.
• English GCSE grade A* to C or equivalent.
• Ideally a subject specific qualification but is not essential.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver both face-to-face and online ESOL courses for adult learners.
• Maximise attendance, retention and achievement; monitor learning outcomes.
• Attend regular meetings, CPD sessions, enrolment sessions and assist in exams.

Education
