About the Role

Our client is looking for an experienced ESG Reporting Lead to provide senior-level support to their Annual Report team, with a particular focus on the drafting, coordination and validation of the Responsible Business/ESG section of the Annual Report.

This is a key project role, providing additional capacity to an established reporting team following the planned departure of the current ESG Reporting Lead.

You will take ownership of the ESG reporting process, working closely with the wider reporting team and senior stakeholders to ensure that disclosures are accurate, appropriately evidenced and aligned with relevant UK sustainability reporting and regulatory requirements.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced ESG reporting professional to join a complex, high-profile reporting environment and make an immediate impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft, review and validate ESG and sustainability disclosures.

  • Ensure content meets relevant UK sustainability reporting and regulatory requirements.

  • Work closely with the Annual Report team to coordinate inputs, deadlines and approvals.

  • Support the copygraphing, proofreading and final review of reporting content.

  • Respond to audit queries relating to ESG and sustainability disclosures.

  • Manage queries from senior leadership and follow up on outstanding statements, approvals and actions.

  • Coordinate the validation of internal ESG reporting and supporting information.

  • Support the validation and review of the TCFD report, ensuring appropriate and accurate responses are provided.

  • Work with internal stakeholders to obtain, challenge and validate information.

  • Ensure appropriate supporting evidence is available for reported disclosures.

  • Identify and resolve inconsistencies or gaps within ESG reporting.

  • Help manage the reporting timetable and ensure key deliverables are completed within deadlines.

  • Work collaboratively with the existing Manager, Analyst and Director within the reporting team.

About You

We are looking for an experienced ESG reporting professional who can quickly integrate into an established team and operate confidently at a senior level.

You will ideally have:

  • Strong experience in ESG and sustainability reporting.

  • Proven experience working on Annual Reports, ideally within a FTSE 100 or similarly complex listed organisation.

  • A strong understanding of UK sustainability reporting and regulatory requirements.

  • Experience managing or coordinating reporting processes involving multiple stakeholders.

  • Experience responding to audit queries and supporting the validation of reported information.

  • Strong drafting, editing, proofreading and attention-to-detail skills.

  • Experience working with senior stakeholders and responding to senior leadership queries.

  • The ability to work independently and take ownership of deliverables within tight reporting deadlines.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Desirable experience includes:

  • Experience within a FTSE 100 organisation.

  • Experience using Workiva or a similar reporting platform.

  • Experience with TCFD reporting.

  • Experience working within a listed-company Annual Report environment.

What’s on Offer?
  • A senior-level contract opportunity with a leading organisation.

  • The opportunity to play a key role in a high-profile Annual Report and ESG reporting programme.

  • Flexible 3–4 day per week working arrangement.

  • Hybrid working, with 1–2 days per week required on site in Windsor.

  • Contract running through to February/March 2027.

  • Competitive market-rate day rate.

  • Immediate start available.
