Job summary

CPXR, a established commercial contractor based in Chatham, Kent, is recruiting an ESG Coordinator to join their sustainability team and help develop the company's ESG strategy.

You will coordinate data collection across projects, analyse performance on carbon, energy, waste and water, and prepare reports for internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate has ESG, sustainability or CSR experience, knowledge of Excel, and a proactive approach to improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience in ESG, Sustainability, Environmental Management or CSR coordination.
• Background in construction, property or built-environment sectors.
• Experience collecting, analysing and reporting ESG data.
• Strong understanding of environmental principles and ESG developments.

ESG Coordinator

Location: Chatham, Kent

Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 DOE + Benefits

THE OPPORTUNITY

CPXR is recruiting for an ESG Coordinator to join an established and successful commercial contractor based in Chatham, Kent.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in ESG, sustainability, environmental management or corporate responsibility who is looking to develop their career within the construction and property sector.

THE ROLE

• Support the development, implementation and ongoing improvement of the company's ESG strategy and initiatives.
• Coordinate the collection, analysis and reporting of ESG and sustainability data across the business and construction projects.
• Monitor environmental performance, including areas such as carbon emissions, energy consumption, waste, water and resource efficiency.
• Assist with the preparation of ESG reports, dashboards, presentations and information for internal and external stakeholders.
• Support sustainability and environmental compliance across projects, working with operational and commercial teams to identify areas for improvement.
• Help coordinate ESG-related policies, procedures, audits, accreditations and reporting requirements.
• Keep up to date with relevant UK environmental legislation, sustainability standards and ESG developments.
• Work collaboratively with internal teams, clients, supply chain partners and other stakeholders on ESG-related initiatives.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

• Experience in an ESG, Sustainability, Environmental, CSR or similar coordination role.
• Background within construction, property, commercial contracting, engineering or another relevant built-environment sector.
• Experience of collecting, analysing and reporting ESG, environmental or sustainability data.
• Strong understanding of environmental and sustainability principles, with an interest in the wider ESG agenda.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and confidence working with data, reports and spreadsheets.
• Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks and stakeholders.
• Commercial awareness and a proactive approach to identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Relevant degree, qualification or professional experience in ESG, Sustainability, Environmental Management or a related discipline would be advantageous.
