Job description

We are hiring an ESG Analyst to join our successful ESG team. This is a home-based role with occasional travel to our offices.

Role and Responsibilities

You will support ESG disclosures for our clients across industrial, commercial, and public sectors, including SECR, Scope 3 inventories, Net-Zero Strategies, TCFD, CDP, PRI, and other frameworks such as GRI, SASB, GRESB. Additionally, you will assist in creating client strategies for emission reduction targets and other ESG initiatives, and support the development of market-leading ESG services.

The successful candidate's responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Supporting data analysis and report production for strategic ESG and reporting services, focusing on:
  • Scope 1, 2, and 3 greenhouse gas emissions calculations, including SECR disclosures
  • ESG disclosures such as TCFD, Climate Scenarios, CDP
  • Developing Net-Zero Strategies and Science-Based Targets
  • Analyzing environmental, social, and governance data to provide practical insights to clients
  • Researching climate scenarios, GHG emissions, and net-zero developments for external communications
  • Participating in meetings with clients and internal teams, communicating progress effectively

Experience and Qualifications

  • A degree in STEM, Humanities, or equivalent professional experience
  • Interest and awareness of ESG, climate change mitigation, and policy drivers
  • Ability to translate complex technical data into client-ready information
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong report writing skills
  • Capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • At least 2 years of experience in consultancy or analytical roles related to ESG or environmental management
  • Experience with carbon footprint calculations, Scope 1 & 2, SECR reporting
  • Experience in producing Scope 3 emissions inventories
  • Knowledge of reporting schemes like CDP
  • Experience with product lifecycle assessment
