Job summary

The Escalator Company, part of Complii, is seeking an experienced Escalator Engineer to service and repair a portfolio of escalators and travelators across the UK. The role requires a Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Engineering Maintenance (Escalator Service & Repair) and offers a path for career development within a growing organisation.

You will perform routine servicing, inspections and safety checks, diagnose faults with testing equipment, and document site work.

Qualifications

• Qualified Escalator Engineer with Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Engineering Maintenance (Escalator Service & Repair).
• Strong ability to identify and resolve mechanical/electrical escalator issues.
• Commitment to safe working practices and ongoing training.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out routine servicing, inspections and safety checks on escalators and travelators across our customer portfolio.
• Using diagnostic testing to identify faults, defects and malfunctions, then repairing or replacing defective components.
• Completing service reports and documentation for each site visited, detailing work completed and any further actions required.
• Undertaking refurbishment work as experience allows, following all safety procedures on site.

Here at The Escalator Company, we’re looking for an experienced Escalator Engineer to join our growing team, supporting a portfolio of over 400 escalators and travelators across the UK. We work with major clients including Tesco, Asda, Ikea and many other well-known high street retailers, delivering servicing, inspections, repairs and refurbishment projects nationwide.

This role would suit a qualified Escalator Engineer with a Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Engineering Maintenance (Escalator Service & Repair) who is looking to further develop their career within a supportive and expanding organisation.

• Depending on experience, undertaking escalator and travelator refurbishment work while ensuring all safety procedures are followed on site

Can you show experience in some of these areas:

• Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Engineering Maintenance (Escalator Service & Repair) or equivalent qualification
• Strong ability to identify and resolve technical, mechanical and re-wiring issues on escalator systems
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently across multiple sites
• Commitment to safe working practices and ongoing online training to maintain up-to-date knowledge and compliance
