Job summary

The Escalator Company (TEC), part of Complii, is seeking an experienced Escalator Engineer for night shift to support over 400 escalators and travelators across London. You will service, inspect, repair and refurbish equipment for major clients while adhering to safety standards.

Based in City of London and surrounding areas, you will perform diagnostics, complete site reports and potentially refurbishment work depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Engineering Maintenance (Escalator Service & Repair) or equivalent.
• Strong ability to identify and resolve technical, mechanical and re-wiring issues on escalator systems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently across multiple sites.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out routine servicing, inspections and safety checks on escalators and travelators across our customer portfolio.
• Using diagnostic testing to identify faults, defects and malfunctions, then repairing or replacing defective components.
• Completing service reports and documentation for each site visited, detailing work completed and any further actions required.
• Depending on experience, undertaking escalator and travelator refurbishment work while ensuring all safety procedures are followed on site.

Job description

Here at The Escalator Company, we’re looking for an experienced Escalator Engineer – Night Shift to join our growing team, supporting a portfolio of over 400 escalators and travelators. We work with major clients including Tesco, Asda, Ikea and many other well-known high street retailers, delivering servicing, inspections, repairs and refurbishment projects nationwide. This role will see you working in the City of London and throughout the wider London area.
