Job summary

Red Bull Powertrains is seeking an experienced ERS Quality Inspector for a 12-month fixed term contract. You will perform dimensional and visual inspections on Energy Recovery System components, ensuring compliance with engineering drawings and quality standards, contributing to reliability and performance for the 2026 Formula One power unit.

The role requires hands-on experience with high-precision components in automotive, motorsport, aerospace or precision engineering, and knowledge of GD&T.

Qualifications

• Experience in quality inspection in Automotive, Motorsport, Aerospace or precision engineering.
• Hands-on inspection of high-precision components and assemblies.
• Experience with electric motors, power electronics, battery systems is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Identify non-conforming components, complete inspection reports and provide accurate information to enable effective decision-making.
• Ensure all inspection data is accurate, reliable and correctly recorded within business systems.
• Raise detailed non-conformance reports to capture any dimensional, visual or assembly-related defects.
• Carry out daily calibration and verification of inspection equipment.
• Inspect complex Energy Recovery System components and assemblies to ensure compliance with engineering drawings, specifications and quality standards.
• Extensive knowledge of GD&T
• Fully conversant to IPC 600 / 610 & J standards

ERS Quality Inspector - 12 months Fixed Term Contract

Red Bull Powertrains have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Quality Inspector to join our team as we progress through our first-ever racing season with a fully Red Bull designed power unit. In this role, you will play a critical part in assuring the quality of cutting-edge Energy Recovery System (ERS) components that are fundamental to the performance, efficiency and reliability of our 2026 Formula One power unit. Working with highly complex electrical and mechanical assemblies, your expertise will help ensure that every component meets the exacting standards required to compete at the very front of Formula One. As part of our ambitious journey, you will contribute directly to the delivery of world-class energy recovery technology, supporting innovation, precision and performance at every stage of development and production.

Shift: – Mon-Fri 14:00 - 22:30

You will carry out dimensional and visual inspection activities for the supply of Energy Recovery components. This challenging position requires effective teamwork, clear communication, initiative, sound judgement, the ability to maintain production efficiency, and most importantly, an unwavering commitment to quality and continuous improvement.

To be successful, you will have previous experience within a similar quality inspection role, ideally within Automotive, Motorsport, Aerospace, Electronics Manufacturing or precision engineering environments. Hands-on experience inspecting complex, high-precision components and assemblies, particularly those associated with electric motors, power electronics, battery systems, CMU’S ,PCA’S PCB’S, would be highly advantageous.
