Job summary

Spinwell Ltd is recruiting for an ERP Programme Director to lead a major ERP transformation for a public sector client. The role requires oversight of a multi-project programme, governance, stakeholder engagement and benefits tracking, with hybrid office locations in the UK.

The position supports a programme team, manages budget, and ensures delivery against the Final Business Case, with regular reporting to the COO and EXCO. SC clearance may be requested.

Spinwell is recruiting for an ERP Programme Director for an excellent opportunity within the public sector.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ERP PROGRAMME DIRECTOR

• Lead and manage the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Programme, which includes a programme team, core programme activity, Finance Project, HR Project and IT Project
• Resource the programme with skilled and capability contributors, building a delivery-focused, resilient and high performing team
• Finalise and gain approval for the ERP Final Business Cases (FBC)
• Build and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders.Engage regularly and communicate widely.
• Develop, gain approval for and deliver the plan for the Beta Phase, including development, testing, operational readiness and business change.
• Monitor and maximise the delivery of benefits, as detailed in the Final Business Case
• Coordinate delivery, ensuring robust workflows and technology interfaces are developed and implemented, between the ERP platform and current and future legal case management and practice management systems.
• Ensure that all relevant strategic, operational and programme risks are identified, mitigated and controls monitored
• Manage the ERP Programme Budget, ensuring reporting of forecasts and expenditure are reviewed and that any potential under or over-spends are alerted to the Finance Team as early as possible.
• Produce robust Management Information for the Programme Board, COO SLT, and EXCO.
• Support the development and establishment of the Project Management Methodology with defined standards, documentation and Gate Lifecycle requirement.
• Routinely audit all projects for compliance to standards and methodologies, and conduct post implementation reviews to determine “Lessons Identified”, Return on Investment (ROI) and Benefits Tracking.
• Identify and ensure progress along the Critical Path between all activities of all projects within the ERP Programme and promote the Critical Path within the portfolio.
• Manage the ERP Programme Risk, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies and Decisions (RAIDD) and associated project logs, advising the senior leadership of the client of decisions that may need to be taken.
• Ensure that the ERP programme implements and adheres to all appropriate Government Functional Standards (in particular GovS 002, 003, 005, 006 and 007) and the Government Digital Service’s (GDS) Service Standards and Technical Code of Practice (TCOP)
• Ensure the programme works collaboratively with all functions and teams within client, especially Digital, Data and Technology professionals, delivering the highest quality outcomes as a result of collective design and delivery.
