Job summary

Southern Water seeks an ERP Functional Platform Manager to lead the Digital Corporate & Customer Application team across SAP, Workday and Coupa, delivering support, maintenance and project initiatives within the ERP estate in a hybrid role based at Durrington.

You will define KPIs, manage a high-performing team, collaborate with application vendors and business leads, and drive core platform capabilities in line with AMP8 investment and strategic priorities.

Job Title: ERP Functional Platform Manager

Location: Durrington, West Sussex (hybrid)

Contract Type: Permanent

Hours: 37 hours per week

Salary: £depending on skills and experience

About the role

The primary task of the ERP Functional Platform Manager is to lead the Digital Corporate & Customer Application team across support, maintenance and project initiatives within the ERP estate.

This position is part of the Digital Corporate & Customer Leadership Group, and the incumbent will be responsible for defining, agreeing and delivering KPIs across SAP, Workday, Coupa to the Head of Corporate & Customer Platforms.

What you will be responsible for

• Develop, Motivate & 'Grow' the team to allow maximum utilisation and retention
• Deliver a team that can Deliver, Support & Improve the core capabilities of the applications
• Lead the Digital Corporate & Customer Functional Team, ensuring alignment with key core strategies and roadmaps.
• Work collaboratively with Application Managers to ensure overall Platform meets and exceeds expectations
• Define good practice models across Functional Application team
• Work closely to with resource partners to understand resourcing model, flexibilities and opportunities
• Work closely with application vendors to understand the roadmap and direction
• Work closely with Business Leads to understand business strategy and priority

What you’ll bring to the role

• A minimum of ten years' practical experience working and leading application delivery & support teams within a hybrid working model (permanent, contract & partner resources)
• Participate and Lead initiatives within the Corporate & Customer Platform Leadership Group
• Excellent Team management skills ensuring growth, succession & retention planning
• Excellent Stakeholder Management Skills
• Budget Management (£m OPEX; £m CAPEX)
• Resource Management & Planning capabilities

Essential

• Knowledge of SAP IS-Utilities solution
• Proven exceptional Functional & Business Process Understanding of SAP (IS-U, CRM, FI, HR, SRM)
• Knowledge and experience of working within an Agile/DEVOPs delivery framework

Desirable

• Post Graduate Qualification
• Certification within a SAP Functional Module/s
• Functional & Business Process Understanding of Coupa
• Functional & Business Process Understanding of Workday
