ER Specialist

Rate : £21.00 – £24.00 per hour PAYE

Duration : 3 months

Location : Birmingham (London or Salford considered with travel to Birmingham)

Hybrid : 5 days onsite for first 2 weeks, then 1–2 days per week

Hours : Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm (35 hours)

Role Purpose

Deliver specialist Employee Relations advice and process support across the workforce within a shared services environment. Provide clear guidance to managers using policy, process and data, managing cases through the ER case management system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advise on ER cases including grievance, disciplinary, absence, probation and performance
  • Manage high-volume caseloads (40–50 cases), including backlog clearance
  • Resolve complex and escalated ER issues in line with SLAs
  • Use and maintain ER systems in line with data protection requirements
  • Analyse ER data to provide insight, recommendations and service improvements
  • Support ongoing ER activity and projects across the service centre
Essential Experience
  • Strong ER advisory experience across core ER case types
  • Confident user of ER case management systems
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
