Job summary

MCS Group in Belfast is recruiting an experienced ER Advisor to join a multi-site service organisation. The role offers varied casework within a supportive HR team and exposure to a large front-line workforce.

You will manage grievances, investigations, disciplinaries and dismissals, and provide guidance on ER procedures and employment law to managers, with a busy, dynamic workload and hybrid working arrangements.

Qualifications

• Experience managing grievances and workplace investigations with NI law.
• Ability to write investigation reports and balanced conclusions.
• Confidence advising managers on complex ER matters.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.

ER Advisor - Belfast - Hybrid

MCS Group is partnering with a large, multi site service organisation to recruit an experienced ER Advisor.

This role offers varied, hands‑on casework within a supportive HR team and exposure to a large front line workforce.

The Role

• Managing grievances, investigations, disciplinaries and dismissals.
• Conducting investigations and producing clear reports, outcomes and recommendations.
• Advising managers on ER procedures, employment legislation and best practice.
• Supporting absence, performance, capability, TUPE and organisational change matters.
• Managing a varied caseload within a fast‑paced operational environment.

About You

• Practical experience managing grievances and workplace investigations, supported by a sound understanding of Northern Ireland employment legislation.
• Experience writing investigation reports and reaching balanced conclusions.
• Confidence advising and challenging managers on complex ER matters.
• Strong communication, organisation and stakeholder‑management skills.
• CIPD is desirable.
