Job summary

Millennium in London seeks a software engineer to build robust risk systems for Equity Volatility trading. You will design and implement server-side applications using Java and Spring Boot, develop exotic pricing models, and provide Level 3 production support.

You will work with Python scripting, distributed caching, and containerized deployments on AWS, Kubernetes, and Podman, contributing to scalable, high-performance platforms in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Proven Java development experience in building scalable, high-performance systems.
• Strong knowledge of Spring Boot and microservices development.
• Experience with Python scripting and automation.
• Experience with distributed caching technologies (e.g., Ignite).
• Familiarity with containerization and cloud platforms (Kubernetes, Podman, AWS).
• Solid Git, CI/CD practices and automated testing experience.
• Experience supporting Equity Derivatives in sell-side or buy-side environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement robust risk systems for Equity Volatility trading.
• Build and maintain scalable server-side applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Develop exotic pricing models for product pricing and lifecycle management.
• Provide Level 3 production support, troubleshooting and performance tuning.
• Identify bottlenecks and improve platform reliability and performance.
• Conduct code reviews and implement automated testing to ensure quality.
• Write clean, maintainable code following software engineering best practices.
