Keka Technologies Private Limited is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join our finance tech team in London. You will gather and document detailed requirements for equity derivatives trading, risk management, and operations, and translate them into actionable specifications.

You will collaborate with traders, quants, risk managers, and IT to analyze processes, design trading and risk systems, and ensure regulatory compliance (MiFID II, EMIR).

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in financial services, focusing on equity derivatives.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Certifications such as CFA, FRM, or PMI-PBA are a plus.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Gather and document detailed business requirements for equity derivatives trading, risk management, and operations.
  • Analyze current business processes related to equity derivatives and identify improvements.
  • Design and implement trading platforms, risk management systems, and reporting tools.
  • Perform data analysis to support decision-making, including trade performance and risk exposure.
  • Create BRDs, functional specs, use cases, and user stories.
  • Ensure compliance with MiFID II, EMIR, and applicable standards.
  • Provide training and support to end-users.

Job description

  • Requirement Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document
  • detailed business requirements for equity derivatives trading, risk management, and
  • operations.
  • Process Analysis: Analyze current business processes related to equity derivatives
  • and identify areas for improvement, ensuring efficiency and compliance with
  • regulatory requirements.
  • Solution Design: Work with IT teams to design and implement solutions that meet
  • business needs, including trading platforms, risk management systems, and reporting
  • tools.
  • Data Analysis: Perform data analysis to support decision-making processes,
  • including trade performance, risk exposure, and market trends.

  • Testing and Validation: Develop and execute test plans to ensure that implemented
  • solutions meet the specified requirements. Validate data accuracy and system

  • use of new systems and processes.
  • Domain Expertise:
  • Equity Derivatives: In-depth knowledge of equity derivatives products, including
  • options, futures, swaps, and structured products.
  • Trading and Risk Management: Understanding of trading strategies, risk
  • management practices, and market dynamics related to equity derivatives.
  • Regulatory Environment: Familiarity with the regulatory landscape affecting equity
  • derivatives, including key regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Technical Skills and Tools Experience:
  • Trading Platforms: Experience with trading platforms such as Bloomberg, Reuters,
  • or proprietary systems.
  • Risk Management Systems: Knowledge of risk management tools and systems used
  • in the equity derivatives market.
  • Data Analysis Tools: Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, and
  • statistical software (e.g., R, Python).
  • Project Management Tools: Familiarity with project management and collaboration
  • tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or Trello.
  • Reporting and Visualization: Experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI,
  • or QlikView for data visualization and reporting.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Computer Science,
  • or a related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in the financial services
  • industry, with a focus on equity derivatives.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CFA, FRM, or PMI-PBA are a plus.
  • Soft Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to
  • work effectively in a team and manage multiple stakeholders.
