Job description

Collins Aerospace is seeking an Equipment Engineer to join our proactive equipment engineering team at our Plymouth site. The team provides frontline support, ensuring equipment maintenance, calibration, and breakdown support for a variety of technologies, including manual, automated, off-the-shelf, and custom electro-mechanical equipment, environmental chambers, and safety systems.

What you will do
  1. Follow planned schedules to minimize downtime for calibration, maintenance, and upgrades.
  2. Diagnose and resolve faults using methodical problem-solving techniques.
  3. Adhere to company procedures and documentation to meet quality and regulatory standards.
  4. Provide auditable documentation and reports for calibration, maintenance, and safety tasks.
  5. Volunteer for shift work and on-call support as needed, with premiums paid for this work.
  6. Work onsite in Plymouth.

  6. Educational qualification to HNC/D or equivalent in Electrical/Electronic engineering.
  7. Flexibility and commitment to meet equipment uptime targets and support manufacturing and engineering teams.
