Job Description

The ONE Group are working with a very friendly Cambridge based company to recruit for an Equipment Engineer. They require someone to provide hands-on support to ensure their equipment operates reliably and safely.

This is a hands-on position where you will be the main contact for laboratory and cleanroom equipment ensuring that this operates reliably, efficiently & safely.

On a day-to-day basis you will:

1. Schedule and carry out PPM
2. Respond efficiently to breakdowns
3. Regular equipment inspections & tests
4. Maintain documentation & records
5. Continuous improvement
6. Liaise with external contractors
7. Keep essential spares well stocked and re-order when needed
8. Occasional site and building maintenance and repair

What do we need from you?

1. Ideally a recognised electrical/mechanical qualification
2. Significant experience working in equipment engineering in a manufacturing / industrial environment
3. Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical controls
4. Knowledge of automation and control systems
5. PLC programming
6. Able to diagnose faults
7. Experience in the design, development, and improvement of equipment systems
8. Experience with CAD software
9. IT proficient
10. Experience working in a lab/cleanroom would be highly desirable
