Job summary

inspiring vet care is seeking an Equine House Vet intern to join our large multidisciplinary equine referral hospital in Newbury, UK. You will work with specialists to manage a diverse caseload across medicine, surgery, lameness, imaging, ICU and emergency services.

The role aims to develop clinical skills in a busy hospital, with ward rounds, case discussions and governance activities guided by senior clinicians and mentors.

Qualifications

• Veterinary degree and RCVS registration (with clinical team experience).
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Clear and confident communication with a collaborative approach.
• Interest in evidence-based veterinary medicine and best practice.

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor hospitalised equine patients.
• Assist with emergency admissions and intensive care cases.
• Support surgical, medical, and diagnostic procedures.
• Participation in anaesthesia support and perioperative care.
• Involvement in lameness evaluations and diagnostic imaging.
• Communicate with owners and referring vets.
