Job summary

KEITS is offering a Level 2 Equine Groom Apprenticeship at a busy livery yard near Epsom Downs, Surrey. This full-time apprenticeship provides hands-on training under the Yard Manager and Head Groom, with supervision from a small friendly team.

The apprentice will learn horse handling, grooming, yard duties and basic preparation for future employment in the equine industry. Accommodation is provided if required, and full training will be given onsite.

Qualifications

• Applicants must have prior horse handling experience and be able to demonstrate it on application.
• Strong reliability, motivation and communication skills are required.
• Full training will be provided through the Level 2 Equine Groom Apprenticeship.

Responsibilities

• Turn horses in and out.
• Morning muck outs and seasonal duties.
• Grooming and basic hoof care.
• Field and yard chores, tack cleaning.
• Clipping, minor farrier coordination.
• Support with show preparation and horse handling as required.
