Job summary

Pony Pursuits in Kidlington is offering an Equine Groom Apprenticeship. Join a small team to care for horses, assist with lessons, and help with pony therapy and special events at the riding centre.

Training is provided by the employer and Haddon Training. You will work five days a week with shifts discussed on appointment; some riding may be available and you’ll gain Level 2 in Equine Grooming while working towards maths and English if required.

Qualifications

• Passion for caring for horses and working with riders.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weathers.
• Flexibility to work 5 days out of 7; shifts may include evenings and weekends.
• Training will be provided by the employer and Haddon Training.

Responsibilities

• Mucking out and keeping the yard tidy.
• Filling water buckets and haynets; making feeds.
• Grooming and tacking up horses.
• Assisting with lessons and leading riders; some riding may be available.
• Assisting adults and children with additional needs.
