Job summary

CFA Institute seeks a content production specialist to own and optimise the EPUB publishing pipeline. You will manage XML-based content, ensure accessibility, and streamline transformations from a single XML source to EPUB and other formats.

The role focuses on reducing errors, increasing throughput and collaborating with Production, Quality Review, and Technology teams to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with XML and structured content in digital publishing.
• Practical understanding of single-source publishing and.transforms of source into formats.
• Experience producing digital publishing outputs and managing data behind them.
• Ability to identify and fix problems in publishing pipelines and workflows.

Responsibilities

• Own the EPUB publishing pipeline and ensure outputs are accurate and accessible.
• Analyse errors from Quality Review and improve the underlying workflow.
• Improve throughput by reducing rework and enhancing transformation processes.
• Work with the master BITS XML dataset in CFA Institute’s single-source model.
• Maintain and optimise EPUB transformation, rendering and validation workflows.
• Investigate device- and reader-specific rendering issues and verify fixes.
• Ensure outputs meet accessibility, tagging and presentation standards.
• Design and implement workflow improvements within publishing standards.
• Diagnose cross-platform transformation problems and coordinate with specialists.
• Maintain workflow documentation and contribute to related projects.
