Department for Culture, Media and Sport is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to act as a technical leader, balancing strategic oversight with hands-on guidance. You will collaborate with Technical Architects to translate designs into live, stable environments and guide a team of specialists across infrastructure programmes.

You will manage third-party services, champion engineering standards, and provide regular updates to the Head of Technology Operations & Strategy on progress and stability.

As Infrastructure Engineer, you will act as a technical leader balancing strategic oversight with hands-on guidance. You will collaborate with Technical Architects to turn complex designs into live operations, manage third-party services, and direct a team of specialists to deliver critical infrastructure programmes across the service life cycle.,

• Manage third-party infrastructure services and provide expert technical guidance to develop architectural solutions across the product life cycle.
• Collaborate with technical architects and specialists to translate high-level designs into live, stable operational environments.
• Drive the successful execution of infrastructure programmes and projects to meet core organisational objectives.
• Direct and lead infrastructure specialist teams in building, managing, and maintaining solutions in strict accordance with departmental policies.
• Ensure internal user services and public-facing services are underpinned by infrastructure designed, built, and supported to exceptionally high standards.
• Act as a senior technical leader within IT Operations, champion engineering standards and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
• Provide regular updates to the Head of Technology Operations & Strategy regarding project progress and infrastructure stability.
