Job summary

GAP Group Limited is seeking an Environmental Treatment Engineer. The role focuses on servicing and maintaining wastewater treatment equipment within the GAP fleet, troubleshooting systems, and performing safety checks and tests.

This workshop-based position may require occasional customer-site visits to ensure equipment availability and reliability. Candidates should have proven wastewater treatment experience, knowledge of treatment equipment, and a valid driving licence.

Qualifications

• Proven experience within waste water treatment is essential.
• Sound knowledge of water treatment equipment desirable, training provided.
• CITB/NVQ qualification preferable.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• Flexible attitude to suit changing regional needs.
• A valid driving licence is essential.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot water treatment systems and perform routine service and maintenance.
• Conduct safety checks, testing, and pre/post-hire inspections.
• Work predominantly in the workshop with occasional customer site visits.

About the role

GAP Pump, Power & Environmental division provides advice, servicing, maintenance and repair for water treatment, dewatering and sewerage pump applications including a large range of hoses, settlement tanks and water processing solutions.

As an Environmental Treatment Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the success of the region by ensuring that our customers can hire what they want, when they need it through the efficient servicing and maintaining a variety of wastewater treatment equipment within the GAP fleet.

As part of our high-performing team, you will be responsible for troubleshooting water treatment systems. In addition, you will carry out routine service and maintenance of the equipment, including safety checks, testing and pre & post-hire inspections.

This role is predominantly workshop based however you will also attend customer sites as/when required.

*Please note, the ideal candidate would be located within commutable distance to our Harthill depot.

About You

Successful applicants should demonstrate the following:

• Proven experience within waste water treatment is essential
• Sound and current knowledge of water treatment equipment is highly desirable however specific product training will be provided
• CITB/NVQ qualification is preferable
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to work effectively under pressure
• A flexible attitude to suit the changing needs of the region
• A valid driving licence is essential
