Job summary

Gi Group is seeking an Environmental Test Technician for their Fareham laboratory team. The role focuses on hands-on environmental testing, data recording, and delivering clear test reports to customers across multiple industries.

You will conduct tests on temperature, humidity, pressure and IP, recording results and contributing to continuous improvement within the department. A methodical, organised, technically minded candidate will thrive in this team.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a laboratory environment.
• Strong numerical, logical and analytical skills.
• Good IT capability (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
• Technical qualification in a STEM subject.

Responsibilities

• Conduct environmental tests (temperature, humidity, pressure, IP) to standards and test plans.
• Work closely with customers during attended testing sessions.
• Record test results using electronic logbooks and produce accurate reports.
• Liaise with customers regarding test specifications, procedures and results interpretation.
• Coordinate with the Test Manager to ensure work is completed accurately and on schedule.
• Support development and refinement of test plans and departmental documentation.
• Assist with continuous improvement activities to enhance testing efficiency and quality.
