Veolia Portsmouth seeks an Environmental Technician to support monitoring across three Energy Recovery Facilities in Hampshire. You will coordinate sampling, ensure timely reports, and maintain permit compliance.

You will work with operations and contractors to manage data, KPIs and trends, contributing to facility performance improvements. A UK driving licence is required.

• Degree in environmental, scientific, or related field.

Responsabilidades

• Support the delivery of the environmental monitoring programme across three Energy Recovery Facilities in Hampshire.
• Coordinate monitoring activities, maintain schedules and help ensure reports are completed accurately and on time.
• Carry out sampling and monitoring in line with Environmental Permit requirements.
• Support communication with regulatory bodies, including the Environment Agency, local authorities and water companies.
• Maintain environmental performance data, KPIs and monitoring records.
• Help identify trends and contribute to summary reports on facility performance.
• Liaise with operational teams and third-party contractors to support the delivery of environmental monitoring activities.
• Help maintain monitoring equipment and infrastructure, and escalate any issues appropriately.
• Support Facility Managers with environmental compliance and legislation queries.
• Assist with contractor audits and annual environmental reporting.
• Keep up to date with relevant environmental legislation and industry developments.
• Contribute to continuous improvement across environmental monitoring and compliance activities.

What we're looking for;

• A degree or equivalent qualification in an environmental, scientific or related discipline
• An interest in waste management and Energy Recovery Facilities
• An understanding of environmental monitoring and compliance
• Awareness of waste and environmental legislation
• The ability to build positive working relationships with colleagues, contractors and external stakeholders
• A full UK driving licence, as travel between sites will be required
