About the role

Kent is seeking an experienced Environmental Technical Lead in Oil & Gas to be based in Aberdeen. This role involves leading technical support, client development, and team leadership within the environmental sector of the UK Oil and Gas industry. Reporting directly to the Market Director Environment, the successful candidate will contribute to technical delivery, business growth, and team development.

Key Responsibilities

1. Provide overall technical leadership for environmental support to UK Oil & Gas projects.
2. Lead project delivery ensuring high-quality environmental support.
3. Develop and maintain client relationships, supporting business development and bidding activities.
4. Prepare and review technical reports and consultancy scopes.
5. Mentor junior team members and lead project teams.
6. Assist in preparing bids, cost estimates, and project management to meet scope, budget, and schedule.
7. Engage with clients to foster strong relationships and identify new opportunities.
8. Recruit new team members to support market growth.

Qualifications & Skills

• Extensive experience in environmental and sustainability services within Oil & Gas.
• Degree in relevant field; Chartered status (e.g., CEnv) preferred.
• Proven experience in the UK Energy sector, especially Oil & Gas.
• Strong network of industry contacts and clients.
• Ability to lead work scopes, meet delivery and cost targets, and ensure quality.
• Excellent report writing, communication, and client engagement skills.
