Job summary

H&MV Engineering is seeking an Environmental Sustainability Advisor for site-based work in London and on the M25. The role reports to the UK Environmental Manager and ensures on-site environmental compliance while championing sustainability across projects.

As a full-time position, you will conduct audits, deliver on-site training, track performance, investigate incidents, and collaborate with stakeholders to drive continuous improvement across the civils and engineering landscape.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in environmental or sustainability role, ideally within a Civils or Engineering business.
• Knowledge of environmental legislation, permitting requirements, and regulatory frameworks.
• Experience conducting environmental audits, performance monitoring, and risk assessments.
• Excellent interpersonal, collaboration, and communication skills.
• High level of IT literacy and growth mindset.

Responsibilities

• Conducts regular audits, inspections, and aspect impact assessments to meet regulatory, company and client standards.
• Delivers on-site training and toolbox talks to prevent incidents and promote sustainability.
• Tracks project performance through regular reporting and feedback.
• Investigates environmental incidents to identify root causes, implement corrective actions, and serves as the project escalation point for ES concerns.
• Cultivates strong stakeholder and team partnerships to drive project success and professional synergy.
