Zusammenfassung

EPIKS is seeking an Environmental Ranger to support and grow our volunteer programme in Kirklees. Based in Huddersfield, you will organise volunteer activities, lead environmental improvement projects and ensure volunteers feel welcomed, supported and valued.

This 0.2 FTE role involves outdoor work across the district, with occasional evenings or weekends. A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel are essential; training and development opportunities are offered.

Qualifikationen

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Experience supporting volunteers, community groups or similar audiences.
• Knowledge of biodiversity, green space management or environmental projects.
• Ability to organise and prioritise work independently.
• Commitment to environmental improvement.
• Basic IT skills, including email, Teams and Microsoft 365.
• Full UK driving licence and ability to travel to sites across Kirklees. A small electric van will be provided for volunteer sessions.

• Volunteer Support: Recruit, welcome and support volunteers.
• Project Delivery: Lead practical environmental activities and site preparation.
• Community Engagement: Develop opportunities for people to connect with and learn about their local environment; lead guided nature walks.
• Partnership Working: Work with local organisations and businesses; report environmental issues.
• Administration: Maintain volunteer records and monitor activities.
