Broxtowe Borough Council is seeking a Senior Environmental Health Officer – Environmental Protection for a 22-hour week position in Nottingham. You will lead the Environmental Protection team, oversee enforcement-related work, and manage a small caseload with flexibility in hours to meet business needs.

The role requires an experienced officer with knowledge of environmental protection functions and strong communication skills; Chartered Environmental Health Practitioners are encouraged and CIEH

Qualifications

• Experience in Local Authority enforcement.
• Ability to manage a small caseload and lead a team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Lead, supervise and be responsible for our Environmental Protection team covering Noise, Air Quality, Contaminated Land, and planning consultations.
• Manage complex cases or investigations and provide link with other teams to achieve positive outcomes for customers.
• Build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
• Must be able to undertake site inspections and work flexibly, including outside core hours.
