Job summary

The Tamar Valley National Landscape Project Officer role at Cornwall Council offers an opportunity to develop and deliver projects that conserve and enhance the Tamar Valley’s natural beauty, heritage, biodiversity and community wellbeing. Based at the Tamar Valley Centre in Drakewalls, Gunnislake, you will work with colleagues, partners and stakeholders to turn ideas into practical action.

You will manage projects from concept to delivery, secure and manage funding, monitor outcomes and report

Qualifications

• Experience developing and delivering projects in environmental, conservation, heritage, or rural development sectors.
• Experience working with multiple stakeholders and developing partnerships.
• Experience managing budgets, procurement and reporting.
• Experience preparing funding applications or managing externally funded projects.
• Knowledge of nature conservation, landscape management, or rural issues.

Responsibilities

• Develop, deliver and monitor a wide range of Tamar Valley National Landscape projects.
• Engage with partners and stakeholders to secure and manage external funding.
• Organise events and activities and monitor project outcomes.
• Work across themes including nature recovery, sustainable land management, heritage conservation and access.
• Contribute to the Tamar Valley Management Plan and National Landscape Partnership aims.
