Job summary

WSP UK is seeking environmental professionals at multiple levels to support the Environmental Management and Assessment Team across the UK. You will engage in EIA work, environmental design and management throughout project lifecycles, from feasibility to handover, across diverse sectors including renewables, aviation, rail and energy.

Qualifications

• A relevant environmental degree level qualification.
• Professional status: Chartered Environmentalist or IEMA membership (or similar).
• Experience coordinating environmental assessments (EIA) within multi-disciplinary teams.
• Understanding of environmental and planning legislation.
• Post-qualification experience across project stages.
• Awareness of project management, including commercial and risk aspects.
• Experience liaising with cross-discipline teams, clients and external bodies.

Responsibilities

• Providing environmental advice and support to clients, project managers and colleagues.
• Working with colleagues and clients to promote sustainable design and environmental enhancement.
• Managing the delivery of environmental inputs into projects (EIA screening, scoping, studies, plans and statements).
• Managing projects, overseeing performance on technical, quality, commercial and health and safety aspects.
• Building relationships with clients and identifying opportunities for support in resourcing, scheduling and delivery.
• Supporting business development through proposals and bid preparation.
• Contributing to innovative techniques (Digital EIA, Technical Excellence, Future Ready EIA).
• Inspiring and upskilling junior colleagues and promoting inclusion and health and safety.
• Contributing to the success of WSP's business strategy with proactive goal setting.
