Message from Julian Jackson, Director of Place at Tameside Council:
“Since joining Team Tameside in September 2022, I’ve been proud to work alongside a passionate team making a real difference to our borough. Our Place Directorate covers planning, highways, parks, culture, arts, environmental services, and facilities management. We focus on keeping streets clean, improving green spaces, and regeneration projects, impacting residents and businesses daily.
We’ve delivered projects like Ashton Old Baths, and are working on master plans for Stalybridge, Hyde, the Ashton Mayoral Development Zone, and Godley Green Green Garden Village, creating new homes, jobs, and spaces. Our work is about ensuring our core services are modern, efficient, and support thriving communities while safeguarding heritage buildings and assets.
We need passionate people to join us. If you want to be part of a team driving change, improving local services, and shaping Tameside’s future, we’d love to have you onboard.
